What carbon fiber sheet thicknesses and sizes can you make?

Solid carbon fiber laminate sheets are available from about 0.5 mm to 20 mm thick, in sheet sizes up to roughly 1000 x 2000 mm. Thicker structures are achieved with foam or honeycomb cored panels. We cut your final parts to size from these sheets, so there is no need to design around stock dimensions.

Can you CNC cut carbon fiber plates to my drawing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send a DXF, DWG or STEP file and we CNC rout, drill, chamfer and pocket the plate to your exact geometry, including holes, slots, countersinks and engraved markings. We hold tight edge tolerances and seal cut edges to prevent fraying. You receive finished parts, not just raw sheet.

What is the difference between solid laminate and cored (sandwich) carbon fiber panels?

Accepted Answer

Solid laminate plates are 100% carbon/epoxy — maximum stiffness and strength per unit thickness, best for structural brackets and load-bearing parts. Cored panels sandwich a lightweight foam or aluminum honeycomb core between thin carbon skins — dramatically higher bending stiffness at much lower weight, ideal for large flat panels, drone decks and enclosures.

What weave and surface finishes are available for sheets?

Accepted Answer

Top-surface options include 3K twill, plain weave and unidirectional (UD), in glossy or matte clear-coat finish. The surface ply is cosmetic; the internal layup (including UD layers for directional stiffness) is engineered separately to meet your mechanical targets.

Typical CNC edge and hole tolerances are ±0.05–0.1 mm, with thickness tolerance depending on the laminate. For mating or precision-fit parts we can hold tighter tolerances on critical features — note them on your drawing and we will confirm.
