Doolike produces round, square, rectangular, tapered (conical) and fully custom profile carbon fiber tubes. Round and tapered tubes are typically roll-wrapped over a mandrel; square, rectangular and profile tubes are produced by roll-wrapping or compression molding. We manufacture to your exact outer diameter, inner diameter, wall thickness and length.

What is the difference between roll-wrapped and pultruded carbon fiber tubes?

Accepted Answer

Roll-wrapped tubes are made by rolling prepreg sheets around a mandrel and curing under heat and pressure — they offer the best strength-to-weight ratio, customizable wall layups and a premium 3K twill or plain surface. Pultruded tubes are made by pulling fibers through a resin bath and die, giving very high straightness, unidirectional stiffness and low cost for long runs. Doolike offers both depending on your stiffness, surface and budget requirements.

Surface options include 3K twill, plain weave, unidirectional (UD), cross weave and jacquard patterns (such as football and forged/marble patterns), in glossy or matte finish.
